  • Utopia– setting up a new and ideal society were all have rights and an equal opportunity for well-being and happiness
  • Relationship of man and machine– technology
  • Visual Communication– new forms of representation
  • Design for good– design of society
  • Status of design and art
  • Rights and representation of women

Russian Constructivism:

  • No art! Art is a luxury for the rich
  • All design must experiment to help society purpose
  • Design should research new materials and new ways of making
  • “Sculpture” is not favoured but models of experiments are
  • Functional and beautiful
  • Geometric and aware of spaces (in 2D and 3D)
  • Abstraction
  • Modernism
  • Experiments in new ways of communicating through design
