During our lesson today we went on a walk through Tonbridge taking photographs of various typefaces and unique typography linked to the brief. This task was also to practice taking photos for next weeks trip to Bexhill, where we will be asked to create a poster based on typefaces we see in Bexhill. Whilst walking through Tonbridge I visited two church yards and the high street. I discovered many different varieties of typefaces from black letter on gravestones at the church to big bold restaurant signs. This task has taught me that during everyday life that design and advertisement is everywhere, even if we don’t realise. It surprised me to find so much interesting designs in Tonbridge, which I had never noticed before. Tonbridge can be a really interesting place. Here are some of the photographs I took down below.
